December is full of exciting events in our house, not the least of which is Andrew's birthday! It's so hard for us to believe we're already celebrating his second birthday. We have had such fun getting to know this little boy and watching as his personality develops and he constantly learns new things. Like all parents, we're a bit in awe of how quickly he picks up on things.
This birthday was especially fun as it seemed to bring out the child in Jeremy and myself. There are so many fun toys out there and we enjoyed choosing something that we thought Andrew would be excited about. We had a quiet celebration by ourselves at home, but thanks to the wonders of Skype Andrew was able to enjoy his birthday breakfast with his Nana and Paka and that evening he was even able to open his present from Grammy and Papa as they watched. Ah, the joys of Skype! Here are a few pictures of our newly "2" boy!
Andrew got his very own fire engine this year.
He was quite excited about blowing out the candles...in fact, we had to do it four or five times.
Andrew's interest in the cake ended with the candles. For some reason he doesn't care for icing...a problem I wish I had!
We had fun celebrating another year of this sweet little boy...Happy Birthday Andrew!
