A few weeks ago we went on a fun little family outing that I'm hoping will become an annual tradition for us. We went to Dry Gulch to ride the Christmas Train! Unfortunately, since it was dark, my pictures don't give a very detailed idea of how fun it really was. We were able to ride a real steam engine while listening to the bible from creation to the resurrection, walk through an "old" western town all lit up with christmas lights, ride a carousel, and even take a horse-drawn wagon ride while hearing The Night Before Christmas. There was a whole list of other fun things we could have done, but the cold evening limited our time there. Andrew is at the perfect age for this fun experience and all night he talked about "ride train." Elise enjoyed the swaying of the train and took a little nap.

This was Andrew's first carousel experience and he warmed up to it pretty quickly.

It was such a great evening and very worth the hour drive to get there. I'm thinking next year will be even better, particularly if we get a slightly warmer night!
