Gobble Gobble

Okay, wow!  I am SO behind in posting.  I have a list of things I've been wanting to get on here, but it just hasn't happened.  Here it is, practically Christmas, and I'm just now starting my post about Thanksgiving...so sad!

Anyway, we had a fabulous Thanksgiving visiting the Nortons in Louisiana.  We were able to spend a couple extra days there than we normally do so we enjoyed a nice relaxing visit and even had time to take a couple exciting outings with Andrew.

Our first adventure was the local safari! We were able to get an up close and personal view of a wide variety of animals including emu's, ostriches, camels, deer, and even a baby giraffe.  We were even allowed to pet and feed most of them!  Another particular highlight for Andrew was his first bus riding experience. Here are a few pictures from our day...

This little ostrich was checking us out.

Elise even enjoyed the bus ride.

This cute little pony was just Andrew's size.

A couple days later Andrew took another special trip to the zoo with Papa.  He was able to see all kinds of birds, alligators, snakes, bears, and lions, but he was especially excited about the tigers.  They are a somewhat recent addition to his ever growing vocabulary.

We were able to have a close encounter with these tigers...they walked right along the fence, just a couple feet away from us!
Andrew loved feeding the fish!

The rest of our visit was spent playing games, watching football, and of course eating lots of yummy food.
Here's Elise in her festive turkey shirt.
Our attempt at getting a picture of the two together.  Hopefully this will be easier when Elise can sit!
